Sherman Daley Bio

Sherman was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and moved to Canada as a teenager where he completed high school. His family later relocated to Los Angeles, where he found his faith and began his spiritual journey. Shortly after, Sherman moved to San Diego to pursue engineering, which eventually led him to a successful career as a computer programmer.

Throughout his life, Sherman has been deeply involved in his church community, leading young adult and married couples' groups, coordinating church activities, and serving as a music leader. His faith has always been central to his life as he worked to develop a close relationship with God.

After nineteen years of marriage, Sherman experienced a painful divorce. Later, God brought Semise into his life, who was also seeking a partner. They married and blended their families—Sherman with one child, and Semise with four children—and now enjoy eight grandchildren together. Their marriage faced its own challenges that led to their divorce, but through this struggle, God revealed patterns from their past and guided them to restore their marriage. They remarried after being divorced for 3&1/2 years. Their personal journey of healing and reconciliation has inspired their current ministry, where they help other couples restore their marriages. They co-founded their marriage coaching business, Marriage Restoration Ministry, Inc where they coach couples to strengthen their relationships with God and each other.

Semise Daley Bio

Semise was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. When she was a toddler, her mother and father eloped to Fairfield California and lived near her paternal grandmother, Helen. When she was 5 years old, her mother left her father and returned to NOLA with Semise. Shortly afterwards her parents divorced.  She is her mother’s only child, but she has two half-sisters, one half-brother, and one stepsister from her father’s other marriages and relationships. Growing up without a stable father figure in her life was very difficult growing up. But being close to her maternal grandmother, Azena, and going to church with her was what introduced her to a solid relationship with the Heavenly Father. That introduction has led her to stay close to God and His church. She has served in the ministry in various capacities, including lending her nursing professional skills to the faith community as a Parish Nurse in New Orleans, LA, Evansville, IN, and now in San Diego, CA. She was an ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 2005 and currently serves with her husband, Sherman, in their local church, Rock Church of San Diego - City Heights Campus, as Marriage Ministry Leaders. She is a Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University (APU), and also a Ph.D. in Nursing student working on her dissertation study. She has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships in her nursing career as well as served as a speaker both locally and nationally on several occasions. She and Sherman first got married in 2012, divorced in 2017, then remarried in 2020. They have a blended family of five adult children and eight grandchildren, (plus two granddogs-Peppah & Zoey). They co-founded their marriage coaching business, Marriage Restoration Ministry, Inc., where they coach couples to strengthen their relationships with God and each other to help avoid the traumatic effects of separation and divorce if possible.
