THE HILL CHURCH EXISTS TO GLORIFY GOD BY DECLARING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH OUR LIVES TOGETHER.https://www.thehillsd.org

As a church, we exist first and foremost for God. We have been created and saved by God and for God, and therefore, our primary purpose is to bring him glory.  We do so by knowing him and worshipping him, but also by making him known to others(Hab. 2:14; Eph. 3:21).  We are committed to declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ, both in proclamation and demonstration (2 Cor. 5:18-20).  We proclaim (speak) the saving work of Christ's life, death, and resurrection, and we demonstrate (show) it through our transformed lives.  But doing so is not an individualistic, self-determined task.  No, we glorify God as we live in biblical community which declares the truth and power of the gospel.

Helmut is a retired engineering manager with a Fortune 100  company. He holds BS and MS degrees in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois and has held positions in a variety of national and international assignments. He is a certified engineering manager and in 2006 was elected to the board of trustees of IISE – an international society serving the Industrial & Systems Engineering profession. In 2012 he was honored as a “Fellow” of the IISE society.Helmut is now in the Nashville area and in conjunction with several others they have formed a new local group – the Tennessee Creation Fellowship.  Additionally, Helmut is a member of the Creation Research Society and serves as a board member for Logos Research Associates. In recent years he has become a popular speaker on Creation Science topics as well as Atheism and Intelligent Design.  He has spoken to churches, youth groups, on college campuses and to civic organizations throughout the USA, but also in France, Germany, Hungary, and Poland.Polls indicate that over 2/3 of Evangelical Youth walk away from the church after college.  But this statistic reverses dramatically when high school youth are exposed to quality creation science materials before high school graduation. Our churches need to provide the apologetics and training to overcome the atheistic teaching to help the next generation develop a Christian worldview and the Biblical convictions that will last a lifetime. In the last 12 years Helmut has given over 1,000 Creation related talks to Youth Groups, Churches, Civic societies, as well as on high school & university campuses.    What do people say?“I have also attended the seminars that he has led. His presentations are stellar and well received by church staff and attendees.“. – Pastor Taylor, Salem Baptist Association.“We booked a six-hour seminar with Helmut. He gave us a college course in Creation science, keeping the audience mesmerized as he clearly commuted, research data, and made a clear connection to the truth of God‘s word. He made excellent use of visuals and handouts. Helmut was a delight to work with… His message is vitally needed.“  –  Sr. Pastor Qualls. (retired)“Helmut was very engaging as he spoke to my youth group about Creation and how science fits the Creation account. My students thoroughly enjoyed the discussion, and Helmut was able to answer every question they threw at him. I would highly recommend Helmut to speak to your youth or church as a whole.”– J.M., youth pastor“He brings a wealth of knowledge, solid theology, and passion to dive into topics that are very relevant and needed for a culture today, especially our youth. As someone who has benefited personally from Helmut, as well as pastoring the junior and senior high students at our church, I can heartily recommend Helmut to passionately and accurately deliver the truth of scripture within your ministry context.“ – M. V., former youth pastor, and now Sr. pastor.Book Helmut as a speaker for an event, a youth meeting, or larger seminarPlease contact Helmut at: [email protected]  Or cell: 563-940-5360There are no set fees for speaking engagements. Perhaps just a love offering. We do need HDMI hook-up for laptop, TV or screen with projector and sound connection.  And a table to sell books after the talks.

On this special episode of Passion for Christ, Stacey Hyatt sits down with Pastor Shane Idleman, founder and lead pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship, for a candid and inspiring conversation about faith in the midst of suffering.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Pastor Shane shares how this unexpected journey has deepened his dependence on Jesus Christ and strengthened his commitment to proclaiming God’s truth. He openly discusses the challenges of facing a life-altering diagnosis while continuing to trust God’s sovereignty and goodness each day. As Pastor Shane often reminds others, our ultimate hope is not in circumstances, treatments, or outcomes, but in Christ alone.

Listeners will be encouraged by his testimony of perseverance, prayer, and unwavering faith as he explains what it means to cling to Christ during seasons of uncertainty and suffering.

Pastor Shane is also the author of numerous books, including The Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Hope in the Midst of Pain, I Almost Quit: My Journey of Leading Through the Landmines of Ministry, 40 Days to Reset Your Life, Oh God, Would You Rend the Heavens?, If My People, Desperate for More of God, Answers for a Confused Church, and Feasting & Fasting. Through his writing, preaching, radio ministry, and now his personal battle with cancer, his message remains centered on repentance, revival, hope, and wholehearted dependence on Jesus Christ.

Join us for a powerful conversation about suffering, faith, God’s faithfulness, and finding strength in Christ when life takes an unexpected turn.

Pillar Church of Oceanside exists to know Jesus and to make Him known. We have a mission of doing that in our city and aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. We are part of a network of churches called The Praetorian Project that starts new churches outside military bases with the design of discipling highly transient people in military communities worldwide. Our church is focused on serving and equipping the people of the military, and is comprised of a mix of active duty military, military retirees, veterans, and community members who simply love our men and women in uniform. The lifestyle of the service member is unique and can be quite challenging--our desire is to support, encourage, equip, mobilize, and walk with these families and individuals during their time here. Our aim isn't to be LIKE family, rather to BE family. website, https://pillaroceanside.com/
