One man fulfilled a promise he made to his late mother by returning to college and earning a degree at 60 years old. He knew returning to school was something that he wanted and needed to do. Watch the short but sweet video of how one man earning a college degree fulfilled a promise to his mother.

A mother’s love for her child is one of Earth's purest, most beautiful forms of love. There is simply nothing most mothers would not do or sacrifice for the betterment of their children. And because mothers typically have such a strong, never-ending love for their children, those children often reciprocate it. Most children would do anything for their mothers, even if it meant returning to college decades later to earn that degree.

That’s precisely what one man, Allen Brooks, did at 60. In a video posted on YouTube, Allen explains that back in 1982, he initially attended Alabama A&M on a band scholarship. However, Allen admits that his only commitment was to band, and he did not perform well in the classroom, so he left school and got a job.

For years and years after leaving school, Allen’s mother, Sarah Pearl Brooks, made it clear that she wished he would return to school and get that college diploma. In response, Allen told her that he would do that for her one day. In 2020, that one day arrived as Allen returned to Alabama A&M.

Sadly, Allen’s mother passed away in June 2024. Despite losing his mother, Allen pressed on and graduated only months after her passing in December 2024.

“I switched gears and said, ‘Mom is still with me. There’s no way I’m going to stop,’” he said.

But Allen wasn’t the only member of his family involved in the graduation ceremony. His son, a freshman at Alabama A&M, played the tuba as people walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long on the land which the Lord your God gives you.”

A woman’s tearful reaction to a puppy surprise will melt your heart. There she stands in the driveway, the afternoon light clouded by the sun as it wraps itself around her for this tender moment. It’s as if the ordinary knows the extraordinary that’s about to happen in a moment. Her husband had just pulled up to the house and announced he had a surprise for her. 

She strolls over, nearly going to her knees in anticipation as he opens the car door to reveal a tiny little puppy nestled in his lap. But then, she sees it. Him. A tiny, fur-covered miracle perched on her husband’s lap. A puppy. A beautiful, bright-eyed bundle of joy with soft fur, the kind that makes your hands ache to hold it, named Bob Jr.

And oh, you can see it. The way her breath catches in her chest is a moment of love rushing out of her heart. Her hand rises to her mouth, tears spilling before she can even think to wipe them away. She reaches out slowly, reverently like she’s touching something timidly with love. And then, as if the weight of joy is too much to bear, she falls to her knees in the driveway, and she pets her new bundle of joy, a scratch on its soft ears.

Dogs, they say, are a woman’s best friend. And maybe it’s because they carry a kind of unconditional love that mirrors the love of God—always present, always wagging, always ready to offer comfort in a messy, broken world. Maybe it’s because they never ask for words; they just offer their presence. A dog like Bob Jr. doesn’t just fill a home—he fills a heart.

In her tears and laughter, you see it plain as day: love doesn’t wait for introductions or explanations. Sometimes, love simply arrives, paws first, and reminds us that joy often comes in the smallest, furriest packages.

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

It’s the kind of moment that makes time stand still and the heart overflow with love–a young woman jumps for joy at the visit from her grandparents. She steps out of her dad’s car, expecting the same rhythm as any ordinary day. But as she glances towards the porch, she freezes. Her breath catches before she leaps into the air, tossing her backpack aside because something extraordinary is on her front porch. It’s her grandparents. There, standing like a gift of love, are her favorite people. 

This girl’s reaction is instant, shrieks of pure joy and pure love that echo only what family can give. Her feet barely touch the ground as she races to them, her arms flung wide to catch them both in a hug. She can’t help but embrace the two people who have woven so much wisdom, fun, love, and grace into her life. Tears stream freely, not just from her eyes but from her grandparents too, as they hold on to one another as the world shrinks to this one sacred moment. 

Grandparents have a way of anchoring us, don’t they? They are the magic makers of our childhood. They're the ones whose steady hands help teach us to ride a bike, the voices that read stories long past bedtime, and they’re the ones helping us celebrate the big things like graduation, birthdays, weddings, and so much more. They are also the ones who show up for little things that leave imprints on our souls: the quiet conversations over cookies and milk, the knowing smiles across the room, and the unspoken reassurance that they are always there. 

Their thread of love feels both timeless and tender. Their love is a bond that teaches us to slow down, to savor the moment, and to cherish family traditions. And in this fleeting moment on the porch for this young woman, we see the beauty of it all–a young woman melting into the arms of her grandparents with their love spilling over and lifting each other’s hearts in gratitude. 

What a beautiful reminder that love, in all its generations, has the power to turn ordinary into something unforgettable.

A police officer chose an adorably sweet way to propose to his teacher girlfriend. It was done in such a way that it completely caught her off guard and left some people in tears. Watch the heartwarming moment in which a man proposes marriage to the love of his life.

Marriage is a massive, important step for every couple. As the marriage ceremony makes clear, those vows and the bond created are sacred and intended to last for the rest of their lives. The Bible mentions the importance and sacredness of marriage throughout God's Word. In Matthew, it states, “Let not that which has been joined by God be parted by man.”

However, before that couple stands before the altar and exchanges vows before God and their family and friends, one big thing must happen first. The man must ask the woman to be his wife. This is a step and story that every couple wants to be able to recite for the rest of their lives.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one police officer found a memorable way to propose to his girlfriend, a special education teacher. The officer made sure to incorporate some of the students, ultimately catching the woman by surprise.

From the look on her face, she had absolutely no idea what was coming as the officer got on one knee with the all-important diamond ring in hand.

“I’m surprised,” the woman, Jean Henry, said after the big moment while fighting off tears. “He did a great job, and I had no idea. And the kids, when they came in….I’m speechless.”

It would have taken him much preparation and planning to pull off such a sweet and thoughtful proposal. This is, no doubt, sure to be a moment that both will remember for the rest of their lives.

A woman found the sweetest, most heartwarming note from her elderly neighbor on her car. The cute letter shows how much he was concerned about her well-being during hazardous wintry weather conditions. Watch the short video to see and read the note the young woman found on her vehicle.

Arguments can be made as to why summer, spring and fall are the best seasons of the year. They all have many positives—the weather, outdoor activities and the food associated with those times of the year. Who is to say which one of those three is the best? It simply comes down to a matter of personal preference.

However, there is no question when it comes to the worst, least favorite season of the year. Winter is, by and large, the most hated time. Once you’re past the Christmas season, what else is there to winter besides snow, ice and cold weather? But perhaps the worst thing about winter is the often hazardous driving conditions.

In a clip posted on social media, an older man was concerned about a young woman getting out on the road during what appears to be recently fallen snow and ice. The man showed concern for her safety by leaving a sweet note reminding her to be careful and exercise caution while driving.

It was so cold that the note had become momentarily attached to her vehicle. After a bit of tugging and pulling, she removed it from the driver’s side window.

The note read, “This is ICE Not Snow. Little Gas and pump Brakes.”

The note may have been short, and after she freed it from her car, a little ripped, but it was so incredibly sweet. The older gentleman obviously cares for the young woman and thinks enough of her safety to remind her about the need to be extremely cautious when driving with ice and snow on the road.

A Walmart employee was recognized for helping a mom during a challenging, trying moment. He saw a mother needing help, and instead of simply watching and judging her, he showed her kindness and love. Watch the video to learn how the caring and empathetic man’s small act of kindness made a big difference.

Without question, children are some of the biggest and best blessings we can experience in life. They add so much joy and love, positively changing your life in every way imaginable. However, as every parent will wholeheartedly agree, not every moment with their children is a walk in the park or even enjoyable.

As the clip posted on YouTube mentions, a mother was in Walmart when she experienced one of these less-than-enjoyable parenting moments. She was in the popular retailer when her child, who has autism, had a meltdown. She had difficulty calming her son down, leaving her feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed. But in that moment, someone—Justin—stepped in and lent that mother a helping, loving hand.

So moved by what Justin did for her in that moment, the mother contacted a television station to alert them to his act of kindness. She wrote that he went “above and beyond” and was calm and supportive. She ended her letter about Justin by saying, “his kindness and support meant the world to me during this very challenging moment.”

Justin remembered the situation involving the mother and her son. As the father of a child with autism himself, he had an idea of what she was going through and how she must have felt at that time. He shared that after helping with her son, he gave her a hug and some sweet words of encouragement, telling her that despite how she might be feeling, she was a good mother.

The clip shows how a small act of kindness can make a world of difference to someone who is struggling or in need.

The daughter of actor Charlie Sheen celebrated her recent baptism and praised her Savior, Jesus Christ. The young woman, Lola Sheen, recognized the big step in her faith with a heartfelt and powerful post on social media. Watch the video of her beautiful baptism.

Baptism is a big, momentous occasion in one’s walk with the Lord. It’s an outward act of what has already taken place in your heart. It’s a move that shows and lets others know that Christ has come into your life and cleansed your heart from sin. It is an act that shows that you have turned away from sin and the old way of living and have chosen to follow Christ.

Lola Sheen, the daughter of actors Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, has signaled her faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The young woman posted a video of her baptism on social media.

In the video, Lola waits patiently, kneeling in a baptismal pool. A few moments into the video, a man, likely the church’s pastor, stands near the pool and begins talking to the young woman, gesturing and smiling as he does so.

Finally, the big moment arrives; Lola covers her nose and is dipped into the water, much to the delight of the congregation who were on hand to view the beautiful ceremony. What a wonderful sight!

In a caption accompanying several pictures of herself being baptized, Lola shares how Christ loved her, accepted her and changed her life, cleansing her heart from sin when she was at her lowest.

“When I was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I hit rock bottom,” she writes. “I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day. I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever, and thought I would never genuinely laugh again. Until, I met not only my Savior but my best friend, Jesus.”

Later in the post, she mentions how Christ loved her even when she felt she deserved none.

“I began to trust Jesus with my life, when He chose me when no one else did, and loved me when I didn’t feel worthy of love,” Lola writes. “He gave me a light, when I couldn’t find my own and rescued me from the darkness.”

She ends her beautiful, heartfelt post by writing, “I am forever saved by His grace, through Faith. I thank you Jesus for everything, I love you, and I hope you are proud of me.”

Being a parent is an absolute blessing from the good Lord. Children are, without question, the biggest and best gift we can receive on this Earth. As every parent knows, once those children enter the world and your home, your life will never be the same.

However, as great as being a parent is, some may argue that being a grandparent is even better. Think about it for a second. Mom and Dad, except when at work, are with their children 24 hours, seven days a week. Parents are around for everything regarding their children, including late nights, tantrums and every other less-than-pleasant moment.

Grandparents, for the most part, do not have to deal with any of that. They get to enjoy all the fun moments as they spoil their grandchildren rotten. Danny, like other grandparents, is also enjoying his new title: Grandpa. In a clip posted on social media, Danny mentions that his daughters have recently had babies and that he loves being a grandfather.

“In two years, my daughters have had a baby each,” he said. “And since these babies have been born, I’m just incorrigible. You got to tamper me down in the joy department, you know what I’m saying?”

He adds that he is very quick when showing photos of his grandchildren.

“In a minute, I’ll take out the phone and show you every picture,” he said. “I’m so lucky. Blessings showered down on me, and I wish it for everybody.”

A quick-thinking corgi saved the day after his owner’s fall. The dog somehow knew exactly what to do after his owner had a nasty fall. Watch the short video to hear about the canine’s heroic actions during a scary, precarious situation.

It’s been said many times before that dogs are man’s best friend. Canines are some of Earth's most loving, loyal and dependable creatures. All of that is true. However, it is so much more than simply being a friend.

Animals are so much more intelligent than most people would like to admit. These cute, furry, four-legged creatures never cease to amaze with their intelligence. In times of crisis, many animals know what to do and act, helping to deliver lifesaving medical attention in some cases. 

That is precisely the case regarding Waldo, the sweetest, cutest little hero. In a clip posted on YouTube, Waldo’s owner recalls how the pup responded during a terrifying incident on a walk, which was part of their morning routine. However, what happened next was anything but routine.

Jess says that she and Waldo were out on their morning walk when she fell down a hill. She describes the horrible situation she was in at the time.

“And I was going down a hill,” she said. “My body went, and my right leg didn’t, and I heard and felt this massive crack. I knew instantly something was wrong. When I looked at my foot, it was very apparent that I needed an ambulance right away.”

She added that her “body was pointing north, and my foot was pointing east.”

That’s when Waldo kissed Jess on the cheek and ran off to find help. Soon after, Jess said that she could see Waldo tugging and pulling on a stranger’s pant leg; he was trying to guide them to Jess.

Waldo’s heroics weren’t done yet. He also ran off and found Jess’s landlord. Because of the cute corgi’s quick-thinking and heroic actions, Jess received the emergency medical attention that she so desperately needed.

Not only is Waldo adorable, but he’s a hero!
