Biblical forgiveness, as God calls His people to practice it, is the willing decision to release an offender from the debt of wrongdoing, to let go of resentment and the desire for vengeance, and to extend grace and mercy in love, just as God in Christ has forgiven us.

At its core, faithfulness reflects God’s own character: He is dependable, unchanging in His promises, and constant in His love.
