This episode's guest is Samantha Banta from Lightbridge Hospice and Palliative Care. They hold a discussion on what hospice is, The point of hospice is to have the most peace and respect in the end of your life. She talks about the evaluation process and when the hospice starts. Sometimes people do get better and they graduate from the hospice. She also talks about the support team made up of medical, LVN nurse, care giver, social worker and a Champlin as well as a volunteer that provide intergraded like Reiki, sound and aroma therapies. No matter where you are at home, in a care facility or even an RV, you get the same care. Some items that hospice covers are oxygen, Hoyer lifts, adult briefs/diapers, pads, and bed pads and a lot more.
