Dr. Chris Hilken is the Senior Pastor of College Avenue Church in San Diego, where he leads a multi-generational congregation in one of the most complex cultural and ideological environments in the country.
For more than 15 years he has been communicating God’s Word as a pastor and professor of theology and apologetics, helping people know, love, and follow the real Jesus with both intellectual rigor and pastoral warmth.
A widower and father of five, Chris brings hard-won honesty to conversations about grief, parenting, and faith, including his ongoing work with the Dad Tired podcast and movement. Shaped by a heartbreaking story of loss, he is known for clear, direct teaching, biblical depth, and unfiltered realism, consistently inviting listeners to think biblically about every part of their lives.
