Sometimes joy sneaks up on us in the most ordinary places—like a kitchen. That’s exactly where it happened when Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel, joins duo for a stunning ‘Part of Your World’ performance. Talk about magical!

At an age when most of us were still fumbling through middle school hallways, Emma-Sophie is standing in front of a microphone, giving the world chills with a voice years beyond her age. But what makes her story even more extraordinary isn’t just her ability to sing—it’s the reminder that God gives each of us gifts, talents meant not for hiding, but for sharing.

For Emma-Sophie, that gift is music. She’s been performing since she was six, stepping into the international spotlight during open-air concerts with The Maestro & The European Pop Orchestra in Kerkrade, Netherlands. Born into a family of music—her father, orchestra leader Guido Dieteren, and her mother, soprano Wendy Kokkelkoren—Emma-Sophie grew up surrounded by harmonies and rehearsals, stage lights and the language of song.

Now in her first year of high school, she’s pursuing her dream in the TOP musical class where singing, dancing, and acting are woven into her studies. She isn’t just chasing applause; she’s chasing the calling God planted in her: to make beauty, to offer her music as a gift for others to feel something holy in the notes.

Over the years, many songs have received the cover treatment. As time continues to move along, that number will only increase, as covers are a time-honored tradition that is not going anywhere anytime soon. Unfortunately, for anyone who does not enjoy covers, they are here to stay.

As shows like American Idol, The Voice and America's Got Talent have shown, any and every song can be covered over and over again. However, not every song can get an instrumental cover. For a cover to work, people have to be familiar with the original version, and that is even more so when the lyrics are entirely removed from the cover, which is why only true classics will ever get an instrumental cover.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pianist performs the Ray Charles tune "Hit the Road Jack.” It's a wholly mesmerizing and captivating rendition. You're simply unable to take your eyes off the screen as the hands dance back and forth along the keys. Yes, the musician's sound is spot-on and thoroughly enjoyable. Still, your eyes are immediately drawn to the graphics falling toward the keys, which very much resemble a game of Tetris. You are closely watching the graphics, wondering if the hands will land on the right keys before the graphics disappear off the screen.

Also, the fact that none of the tune's memorable and iconic lyrics are sung in this cover is not a problem. Since the song is so beloved and near and dear to the hearts of many, as the musician plays the music, you hear all the lyrics in your head and are able to follow along easily.

A 9-year-old's original rap song earned big cheers on America's Got Talent. The little guy demonstrated his jaw-dropping musical talents, and the studio audience responded in a big and loud way. Watch the short but delightful clip to hear and see the young musician show off his skills.

Shows like American Idol, The Voice and America's Got Talent are primarily for singers, or at least that's what most of the people on those programs do. They hope appearing on the shows will earn them a singing contract, worldwide fame and adoring fans. That is their dream, anyway.

People can do much more than just sing. Hearing the same song 1,500 times gets old and tiring. Yes, I understand that people like Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson have come from those programs, and many others have beautiful voices. But musical talent does not just mean singing. As one young man shows, rapping is very much a musical gift and talent.

In the clip posted on YouTube, 9-year-old King Moore steps out on the stage and reveals that he is pretty ambitious. During his back-and-forth with the show's judges, he admitted that he wants to be on a television show, star in movies and hopes to tour around the world. If you're going to shoot, might as well shoot for the stars, right?

Seconds after his conversation with the judges, the little guy gets into his act. He performs an original rap, which he mentioned he wrote when he was either 5 or 6 years old. And it is absolutely fantastic. The young man is incredibly talented.

The entire studio audience was on their feet, cheering and applauding for the ambitious little guy.

All four of the show's judges loved King's act. They showered him with compliments, and when it came time for them to vote, it was no surprise that he received four yes votes.

This bass singer’s deep, unique rendition of ‘Ring of Fire’ is a version unlike any you’ve heard before. Bass singer Geoff Castellucci puts his own spin on the Johnny Cash classic country song. Play the video to listen to the exciting rendition. 

Geoff’s cover video is beautifully cinematic. In the video, Geoff sits at a table in a room full of candles. His wife sits next to him, but she soon fades away, and his face becomes wan and haunted. As Geoff sings ‘Ring of Fire’ in his wonderfully deep voice, he seemingly remembers better days as he lights a match to the candle next to him and looks at a photo. Later in the song, he remembers a moment with his wife and embraces her, only for the viewer to realize that it’s just a memory. 

“Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire’ has been on my list of songs to visit for as long as I've been making music on this channel,” Geoff said. “It's an intimidating lift to re-imagine such an iconic tune, but I hope I've done justice to the memory of the ‘Man in Black’ and maybe opened some new ears to his music. Also, I'm really glad that I didn't burn down the studio - no one should let me play with matches. Thanks for watching!”

Geoff is one of the best bass singers I’ve ever heard—and you just might agree. At some point in the song, Geoff makes his voice dip so deeply that it’s momentarily difficult to recognize the word he is singing, and it’s quite impressive that he can transform his voice in such a way. It’s wonderful to see in the video how Geoff brings his own story idea to the song, with a tremendous amount of emotion. This is a talented cover for sure, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll save it to go back and listen again.

Young acrobatic dancers delivered a mesmerizing performance on America’s Got Talent. The dance troupe literally had the entire studio audience chanting their name after their jaw-dropping routine. Watch the short but stunning clip to see their extraordinary routine on America’s Got Talent.

For the most part, those who go on popular talent competition programs are aspiring singers. They perform, desperately hoping their audition will stun and hit the right person’s ears, helping them earn a spot on the show and maybe even propel them forward throughout the competition. Maybe they’ll make their dreams a reality, or perhaps they fall short of their goal.

There’s nothing wrong with singing, especially if you’ve been blessed with a beautiful voice. We’re all called to let our light shine, and to use the talents that the Lord has given every one of us. However, people are capable of doing more than just singing, as an incredibly talented group of young dancers showed during their latest appearance on America’s Got Talent.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the EDT Dance Team showed everyone what they can do with their magnificent performance. The young woman came out of the gate with a ton of energy and excitement, and it didn’t wane for even a second during their routine. Not only were these young women completely in sync with one another when it came to their dance moves, but they even threw in several truly incredible acrobatic maneuvers.

They made everything they did look effortless, even though we know it required a ton of talent, skill and hard work to do what they did. By the end of their performance, the entire crowd was literally chanting the dance troupe’s name. It was a marvelous performance.  

Simon Cowell, one of the show’s four judges, said what I have always said about dance groups during his assessment of their performance.

“This was, honestly, in my opinion, spectacular,” he said. “You know what? I have a lot of respect for all of you because, apart from being talented, the work that went into that, the rehearsals, because you got to do both, right? You got to have the talent, you got to put the hours in, and it paid off.”

Covers, a time-honored tradition, are here to stay. Every musician and band performs them at one time or another. One could argue that covers have gotten a resurgence in popularity because of how many are posted on YouTube every day, and that nearly every person who sings on shows like American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent performs a cover.

Some people may not enjoy covers because they rarely live up to the original. I agree that covers seem lazy and are nothing more than carbon copies of the original, which, 95 percent of the time, is infinitely better. So, if you’re going to do a cover, make it good, or at least different from the original version in some discernible way. That is precisely what one person did when they covered a beloved song from the 1970s.

In the YouTube video, the musician plays an instrumental version of “Mamma Mia” on the piano, which is absolutely fantastic. Of course, none of those memorable, catchy lyrics are sung because it is an instrumental, but that does not take away from this performance. As you listen to and watch the video, you’ll have the words going through your head as the hands dance along the keys, creating the iconic tune.

While the sound is excellent and the real draw of this video, there is also an interesting visual aspect present. While listening, you’ll see the falling graphics as they descend toward the keys, closely watching to see if the musician hits the proper key in time.

Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” has received a flawless cover. This is a stunning rendition of a classic song that most people know and love. Watch this short but jaw-dropping clip to listen to this young woman’s dazzling rendition of “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now).”

Covers are a time-honored tradition and are not going anywhere any time soon. It’s a safe bet that as long as there is music, musicians will continue to perform songs originally written, recorded and performed by others. So, if you aren’t a fan of covers, I’ve got some rather disappointing and potentially upsetting news for you.

When considering those who do not enjoy covers, their distaste likely has to do with one fundamental reason. Covers rarely, if ever, live up to or match the original. So, naturally, the thinking would be, “Well, then why even try?” That is entirely understandable, and most people will probably agree that covers, while a lot of them are thoroughly enjoyable, don’t compare to the original version. However, there are very rare occasions in which the cover surpasses the original, and a young woman might have done that with a Phil Collins tune.

In the video posted on YouTube, Connie Talbot plays the piano and sings “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now).” Of course, everyone is fully aware that Phil Collins, the former Genesis frontman, released the song way back in 1984, and it’s a classic for sure. Within the first couple of notes, you immediately recognize the song and are likely singing along soon after.

While Phil’s version is undeniably a classic, I would argue that this young woman’s is better. Her beautiful, crystal-clear voice makes this version a must-hear. You could easily listen to her sing this tune on repeat and never tire of it—it is that good!

Sam Robson just released a stunning a cappella version of “Keep on the Sunny Side,” and it will brighten your day. The incredibly dedicated a cappella arrangement is sure to impress. Watch the clip to see the performance. 

Sam Robson’s cover includes an impressive 16 video panels that display him singing or playing an instrument in each one. This performance, no doubt, took him days to make, and the result is truly stunning. Sam keeps up several high pitches as he sings the old tune. 

The song, ‘Keep on the Sunny Side,’ was written in 1899 by Ada Blenkhorn and put to music by J. Howard Entwisle. The song was made popular in 1928 by The Carters and then again in 1974 when Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash sang it. Ada was inspired by her nephew to write the song. He used a wheelchair and always insisted on being pushed down “the sunny side” of the street. It’s a beautiful Christian song about staying in the light and trusting in God.

Sam does a wonderful job of covering this song, and it’s a lovely choice. It truly lifts the spirits to hear a song about positivity that has clearly had so much dedication and time put into it. It is a song that may be little known today but has a timeless message: choose to walk on the bright side and put your trust in God, who cares for us.

This family band’s rendition of Hootie & the Blowfish's Classic song will have you singing along. It’s absolutely charming and sounds great. Watch the video to hear the top-notch cover. 

The Clark Family band consists of the dad, Colt, and his three kids. Colt and his son play guitar. His daughter plays bass, and his other son plays the drums. Each member is on time and in tune with the music, and they sound great. The song they cover is Hootie and the Blowfish’s classic hit, ‘Only Wanna Be With You.’ The song came out in 1994, led by Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker. Some of the song’s lyrics are:

Sometimes you're crazy and you wonder why
I'm such a baby, yeah, the dolphins make me cry
Well there's nothing I can do
I only wanna be with you

“We were so surprised and excited to get a comment from Darius Rucker on TikTok requesting that we do one of his songs!” The Clark Family said. “Over the last couple of days we listened to a lot of his catalog, between his solo career and his Hootie and the Blowfish days.” 

You can tell that this dad and his children have a blast performing together, bringing warmth and interest to every beat. They all have a passion for music and clearly enjoy sharing their gifts with others. At the end of the video, the kids get a laugh as they realize their dad was singing without his mic on at one point, which looked funny. 

Their natural chemistry as a family shines through. It’s not a fancy production—it feels every bit like a living room jam session and is heartwarming to witness. If you were looking for something to make you feel good today, this cover is it!

This duo's stunning rendition of James Taylor's classic ‘Carolina in My Mind’ is a breath of fresh air. It sounds light, flowy, and totally nostalgic. Play the video to listen to it. 

British duo Jack and Daisy sing the song in a beautiful setting. They sit on a sandy beach in the sunshine as seagulls fly behind them. Each of them plays an acoustic guitar as they take turns singing and harmonizing. They sing together in a very mellow and classy way. It’s a wonderful cover of the James Taylor classic. 

Jack and Daisy’s cover sounds less folksy and twangy than James Taylor’s version, and it’s a wholly welcome change. Their cover takes on a more melancholy tone, which seems to give more weight to the lyrics. Some of the words are:

I think I might have heard the highway call
Geese in flight and dogs that bite
And signs that might be omens say I'm going, going
Gone to Carolina in my mind

Their cover makes the lyrics shine. The singer talks about being homesick and leaving everything for Carolina, and that he’s already there in his mind. Jack and Daisy each have a sweet voice that sounds wonderful with this song and brings out the emotion of the music. 

What’s so unique about this cover is its simplicity and wistful sound. The artists don’t try to impress you; they simply and slowly sing and strum their guitars in cross-legged fashion. There are no flashy instruments or big production, and the serene setting adds to the ambiance. Though it’s a gentle sound, the artists still perform with confidence. The singing duo has truly given new life to an old song. Their version is the kind of song your mind wanders back to in quiet moments long after you hear it.

A 10-year-old turned in a mesmerizing performance of “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” on the America’s Got Talent stage. The young man demonstrated his incredible amount of musical talent, stunning the judges and the studio audience. The Voice, American Idol and America’s Got Talent remain popular, despite being on for decades in some cases. One reason for those programs’ continued success has to be that people enjoy seeing others succeed. That is especially true if that person, with undeniable talent, had never gotten a chance to shine before going on any of those television shows. People love instances in which the person who has continually been counted out comes from behind, surprises everyone and captures the top spot.

People also love being thoroughly surprised. Many get a thrill from seeing someone unexpectedly demonstrate a level of talent or a skill set that is decidedly beyond their years. Of course, this most often happens with young performers. Perhaps they have a one-of-a-kind, world-class voice or can play a musical instrument with the skill and precision of someone who has been doing it for decades. In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man does just that as she shows off his awe-inspiring talent on the guitar.

Bay Melnick can play the guitar in a way only a few people can, and he’s only 10 years old. The little guy wows the show’s four judges and the entire studio audience with his electrifying cover of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ classic, “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Moments into his performance, the super talented and charismatic youngster had the studio audience on their feet, cheering, clapping and singing along.

It was a stunning performance, and is even more so considering that the little guy is only 10 years old!

We all remember Tina’s fiery version—an anthem that burns like a thunderstorm. But when Sarah sang it, the song changed. Her voice softened the storm into a steady flame, glowing low but steady, like a candle that keeps burning through the night.

Hearing Sarah’s voice on that street corner was a reminder: the greatest love song is the one God sings over us. It’s steady. It’s tender. It’s better than all the rest. What I love most is watching her sing. She doesn’t come to us in fancy, frilly outfits. 

She comes to us with simplicity. She’s dressed in a tank top and sweatpants. It’s almost like she needed to get out of her house, get a breath of fresh air, and to connect with the world. We all feel that way sometimes and music is the language that no matter where we are in life, it’s the lifeline that connects us. 

Friend, maybe today you’re weary of the noise of life. Maybe you feel small or unseen. Let this remind you: you are God’s beloved, His chosen, His “best.” His song over you never stops, and His love will outlast every storm.

A young woman's version of the classic "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" is delightful. The musically gifted youngster demonstrates her aptitude for creating beautiful music as she performs the tune that is near and dear to the hearts of many. Musicians performing covers is a practice and a tradition that is here to stay. It's likely something that has been done since the invention of music and sound itself. Some people may not enjoy covers, but they are sure to be in the minority. How else do you explain cover bands and the plethora of covers that have been produced over the years?

While musical covers are going nowhere anytime soon. They are still tricky to do correctly. People do not want covers to ruin and wreck the original. Do that, and the musicians are likely to find themselves being chased by an angry mob. However, they should also be different enough from the original to validate the cover's reason for existing. Also, do that while not being too different from the version everyone knows and loves. See what I mean, it's a delicate balance, for sure.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young woman does precisely that with her cover of B.J. Thomas' classic "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head." Her rendition of the 1969 tune is utterly delightful. Even those who are big fans of the original will still find something to enjoy in her version. It's such an enjoyable, easy-listening song with lyrics that quickly get stuck in your head.

"But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me
Won't defeat me, it won't be long
Til happiness steps up to greet me"

How can you not at least hum and tap your foot along to that song? It's nearly impossible not to do so.

September in The Park recently released a stunning cover of The Eagles’ classic ‘Take It Easy.’ The cover does sweet justice to The Eagles’ original song. Play the video to hear the awesome country folk tune. 

With a lead singer, three backup vocals, and seven members playing instruments, it’s an all-around excellent cover. The band has the tune down pat. They are very practiced, and the lead singer has the perfect voice to cover this kind of Eagles song. The band’s cover stays faithful to the song’s spirit but adds a nostalgic, organic feeling. 

Eagles fans will appreciate the care that the band pours into their performance. They’ve got obvious chemistry, and you can hear it in the riff of the guitar, the vocals, and the beat of the drums. They show that this song will never get old. And even if you’ve never heard this song, this cover is still worth listening to. 

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne began writing, ‘Take It Easy’ as a traveling tune in 1971. Glenn Frey, The Eagles’ co-lead singer and guitarist who shared an apartment with Jackson, heard Jackson working on the song in the basement below him and helped him finish the song. ‘Take It Easy’ became The Eagles' first big hit in the following year, in 1972. 

The song is about keeping things light and not letting problems get the best of you. Some of the encouraging lyrics are: 

Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand

This new cover is a great reminder to just “take it easy,” and take a slow breath and remember that everything isn’t as big a problem as it seems.

Young Hiromi is truly talented. She quickly moves her fingers over the piano keys and sings in time with the music like a pro. The song she picked is a fun one—it’s from the musical and movie “Mamma Mia” and is sung by ABBA. It has an upbeat sound that’s perfect to dance to. Some of the lyrics are:

My, my, just how much I've missed you?

Hiromi’s voice is beautiful and has a perfect pitch. It’s pleasantly surprising to see a child so young perform so well. It is obvious that she is very gifted and has a bright future in music. With her clear talent and dedication, she’s going somewhere special. The young girl is an inspiration to others—if a 9-year-old can be this disciplined in a skill like this, then so can you if you put in the effort and follow your passion. 

Hiromi is as good as or better than many adult musicians, and her charm and emotion are almost tangible through the screen. The lightness of the cover is contagious. You can’t help but hum or tap to the beat as you hear Hiromi perform. Long after you hear this melody, you’ll be singing, “Mamma Mia…”

A young girl, one of the youngest Martins in the six-member band, takes the mic as she leads her family in song in a room full of people. As she sings, her family harmonizes at different intervals. Her brother and dad play acoustic guitars, and her mom offers some well-timed claps to the lively beat. 

It’s such a fun song to see a family sing together; the whole family does an astounding job. They are very practiced and know how to use each of their skills to sound great together. They couldn’t have picked a more lively or better-suited song for them. Some of the lyrics of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” are:

If you’ve ever seen this song covered, you’ll know that it takes a lot of skill. This may easily be the best cover of this song that you’ll ever see. Everyone, including the young children in the group, knows their parts down to a T. Each of their talents comes together to make a truly impressive piece of music, and they seem to enjoy performing together. When they finished their song, many people whooped and hollered, with lots of clapping. 

The song they chose is an excellent reminder that happiness is a choice. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if other people or things try to burst your bubble—you can choose to stay afloat and not let anything get you down. If you’ve got that happy feeling, stick with it.

The Darzis do an incredible job of covering ‘We Can Work It Out.’ They sing it in the same style and tones as The Beatles, with an acoustic and electric guitar. It’s very refreshing to see a couple sing this, as the song is about listening to each other and working out problems, because time is short. Some of the classic 1965 hits’ lyrics are:

For fussing and fighting my friend

The couple displays a lot of chemistry as they sing together. Just as the song says, they “work” together to create something and collaborate with their instruments and harmonization. They are well-practiced and very in tune with one another, down to their red-colored tank tops. Their performance is entertaining and pleasing to the ears, but it’s also almost motivational. 

‘We Can Work It Out’ carries a rare and wonderful message. It’s uncommon in our modern times to hear a song about reconciliation; there are many more breakup songs than there are ones like this. The song is a testament that love, listening, forgiveness, and grace can make a relationship work.

It’s been many decades since The Beatles released this track, but its message still rings true. If you’re having a hard time bridging things with a loved one, you can just listen to this song to be encouraged.

Charity Lockhart stunned on America's Got Talent with her "Can't Help Falling in Love" performance. The singer showed off her stunning musical talent, dazzling with a rendition of the Elvis Presley classic. Despite being on for decades, shows like American Idol, The Voice and America's Got Talent continue to draw sizable audiences week after week. That has to be the case because if shows don't perform up to the lofty standards set by television executives or aren't bringing enough ad revenue, they don't last long.

One big reason for those programs' continued success is that people love watching others succeed and soar, especially when it's someone who may not have had that chance before. It doesn't matter what their talent might be – singing, dancing, ventriloquism or stand-up comedy – seeing others do well and shine makes many people smile.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Charity most certainly shines with her outstanding cover performance of "Can't Help Falling in Love." Now, with a song as beloved and well-known as an Elvis tune, singing a carbon copy of the original will not cut it. People have heard that one and are entirely too familiar with it. However, even though people know the song well, they don't want it completely changed or ruined. So, there is this delicate balance that anyone singing an Elvis, a Beatles or even a Rolling Stones song must strike. Be different but not too different.

That is precisely what Charity did with her version of "Can't Help Falling in Love." She changed some things up and took risks, which appears to have paid off handsomely for her. Soon after she belted the song's first few lyrics, the studio audience started hooting and hollering with delight. Except for Howie, the judges were also overly complimentary of her stunning performance.
