2016 Dove Award Nominations!

On Wednesday, August 10th, the nominees for the 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards were announced. The 2016 awards event, themes “Love Amplified,” will be held at Lipscomb’s Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on October 11. Building 429 front man Jason Roy and gospel music legend CeCe Winans were given the honor of announcing the nominees. 

A few artists receiving multiple nominations of note: Lauren Daigle is nominated for two awards, Song Of The Year (“Trust In You” and “First”) and Artist Of The Year. Chris Tomlin‘s “Good Good Father” (songwriters Pat Barrett, Tony Brown) is nominated for three awards, Worship Song Of The Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song Of The Year, and Song Of The Year. In addition to New Artist Of The Year, Jordan Feliz‘s single, “The River,” is nominated for Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song Of The Year and Song Of The Year.
