Facebook Twitter Instagram YouTubeMost Psalms are prayers from man to God, but in Psalm 91, David records a promise from God Himself: "’Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him’” (Psalm 91:14-15). Discover what this promise means for you.
Guest (Male): Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus, the Messiah.
Rabbi Schneider: One of the most mysterious portions of the word of God is Psalm number 91. Why? Because Psalm number 91 records God's voice directly. In other words, most of the Psalms are David praying to the Lord or talking to God. But in Psalm number 91, the Lord himself is speaking. Consider for example, the 14th verse. The Lord says here, "Because he has loved me, therefore I will deliver him." God himself is speaking. Usually, once again, when we read the Psalms, we are reading one of David's prayers. But this is not a prayer of David. This is God himself speaking and David is recording what God said. God says here, "Because he has loved me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him securely on high because he has known my name. He will call upon me and I will answer him." "I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and honor him." I love this. God is promising to take care of the one that loves him. And when you and I make God first in our life, beloved, he is going to carry us as the apple of his eye. He is going to deliver us. He is going to raise us up and set us securely on high. He is going to answer us when we pray to him when we are in trouble. And he is going to honor us. I want to encourage you today. Put God first in everything. It will cost you some relationships. Jesus said, "He that loves father, mother more than me is not worthy of me." If you will put God first in every relationship and in every circumstance, he is going to pour out an abundance upon your life that you could have never even conceived of. Beloved, put him to the test in this. God is real. He honors those that put him first.

Central to the LORD’s plan is Israel and the Jewish people. Romans 11:11 explains that the Gentile believer has been chosen by God to bring the witness of the LORD to the Jewish people. As this message of Yeshua is brought back to, and received by, the Jewish people, they will say, “Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai” – “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD!” and in so doing, usher in Yeshua’s return (Matthew 23:39).
