Husband And Wife Duo Join String Quartet For 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Cover

Brooklyn Duo, a husband and wife team from New York, perform a unique rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ using a cello, a piano and full string quartet. This iconic song was written by Freddie Mercury for Queen’s 1975 album, ‘A Night At The Opera.’ Since that time, many famous artists have lent their vocals to the tune. Decades later, it is still a popular song for covers and auditions. “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide No escape from reality Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Because I'm easy come, easy go A little high, little low Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me” Marnie and Patrick Laird are a talented husband and wife team with deep musical roots. Both Marnie and Patrick are classically trained musicians who met while attending a Chamber Music Festival in 2006. Over the years, they have risen in Internet fame for their stunning classical crossovers. Known by their stage name, Brooklyn Duo, these two have garnered millions of views for their viral performances including stunning renditions of ‘The Sound Of Silence’ and ‘Hallelujah.’ Now, they are enlisting the help of the Dover Quartet for a special performance of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ This is not an easy song to cover, especially with a classical ensemble but this talented group pulls it off seamlessly. What an incredible sound. Who else is ready to hear more covers from Brooklyn Duo?

The Voice Contestant Johnny Manuel Stuns With 'A Change Is Gonna Come'

In this moving performance, The Voice Australia contestant Johnny Manuel stuns the crowd with his cover of ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke. “There been times that I thought I wouldn't last for long Now I think I'm able to carry on It's been a long, a long time coming But I know a change's gonna come, oh, yes, it will” “All I know is that I will never stop fighting for this, because I know inside of myself that I was put here to do this,” says Johnny right before going on stage for his performance. “I just want to make it to the top 4.” His performance is incredible, and it leaves him and a lot of the judges in tears. And Kelly Rowland, one of the judges on the show, has some heartfelt words to share with Johnny after he finishes the song. “It is time for a change. Everywhere. And it starts with everybody. And it starts with being bold. And it starts with just calling things out the way you see them, even when it’s uncomfortable,” Kelly says, “And I feel like you just called so much out with just the passion and the heart and the integrity and the authenticity it is to sing that song. Cause that’s a hard song to sing. But you sang it from the depths of your soul, and I felt like our ancestors could feel it…it was that palpable. It was almost like my soul needed to hear it, and I genuinely appreciate you singing that song the way you did.” What a powerful moment, and what a powerful song. Music has such a way of bringing out people’s feelings and capturing heartfelt emotions. May Johnny keep using his voice to bring to light things that matter and uplifting others with his beautiful talent!

Stranger Miraculously Catches 2-Year-Old After 4-Story Fall

It was a heart stopping moment captured on camera when a 2-year-old is miraculously saved from a 4-story fall. A crowd formed in Huai’an, China after spotting a toddler dangling from an air-conditioning unit of a residential property. According to reports, the young boy was left home alone and managed to use a stool to climb out of a window and onto the AC unit. When neighbors saw the boy, they quickly formed a circle in case the 2-year-old fell. And one stranger stepped up with outstretched arms for the terrified toddler. As the little boy’s grip faded, he tumbled down four stories, flipping over multiple times. Thankfully, the brave stranger was right there to catch the toddler. It was truly a moment that had me on the edge of my seat, but thankfully, there were so many good Samaritans that stepped up in this young boy’s time of need. I’m sure he was so scared as he dangled from the AC unit, but it was comforting to know that so many people were there to help. This is just like how God is always by our side. As we walk through life, there may be times when we feel scared or alone. But it is so important to remember that God is there with His arms outstretched, ready to catch us anytime we fall. We are blessed to have His safety and strength with us each step of the way. I am so thankful for this kind hero and I am so thankful to have a hero in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

You may recognize Karolina from one of her many viral violin performances. For years, she has shared her musical talents with the world. Now, it’s becoming a family affair as Karolina’s mom provides the vocals for this stunning performance. Just listen as they stand against a scenic backdrop and belt out these powerful lyrics. “You're here, there's nothing I fear And I know that my heart will go on We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart and My heart will go on and on” It’s truly amazing to watch this pair come together and create such a beautiful sound. Think of doing something happening in your life?

Leave Your Comfort Zone. Try new things and widen your horizons. Try something you've always wanted to but never got around to, something that scares you, something that is very different from what you normally do. Maybe you don't know what you want to do because you haven't tried what you're meant to do yet.

Actress Melissa Gilbert Reminisces On 'Little House On The Prairie'

Actress Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls on ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ reminisces on her time on the show and the beloved memories that she has from that chapter of her life. Nowadays, Melissa is a 56-year-old mother and grandmother who calls a farm in Upstate New York home. “It’s very rustic…there’s dirt everywhere constantly,” she says. “This is our little house in the Catskills, I guess you can call it.” The setting fits Melissa well since audiences first were introduced to her as Laura Ingalls on ‘Little House on the Prairie’ when it debuted on TV in 1974. “It was like a really great summer camp. But I also got to play the ultimate game of dress up and be in those fantastic clothes and the button up boots,” Melissa shares. “I don’t ever remember it not being fun.” Melissa also remembered all the hard work that it took to remember all the lines that she had for each episode. “I had a lot of words. But more than just a lot of words, I did a lot of running. I don’t think I ever walked anywhere on that show,” she explains. “Even as a young adult, I never walked. I ran everywhere!” Even though the show debuted decades ago, ‘Little House on the Prairie’ has never gone off the air. And the reruns have recently been spiking in popularity. Melissa speaks into why that might be the case. “With everything that’s going on in the world right now, I think, from what I’m hearing from people, is that ‘Little House on the Prairie’ is a reminder of when things were simpler for us, in our lives, those 45 years ago,” she says. “‘Little House on the Prairie’ then provided people with a reminder of what we went through when we started this country and how difficult that was. And I think we’re at that place again. If we could have done what we did in the 1800s, in the 1970s, we can do this. The keys are going to be compassion, community, faith, whatever that faith looks like, and love. That’s it! That’s all that matters.” Looking back on that season of life, Melissa says that she is the woman that she is today because of her time as Laura Ingalls. “I absorbed so much without even realizing what I was learning was really important life lessons about family, community, tolerance,” she shares. “Because I was saying all of these things and having to understand all of these things, they became a part of what I learned as well.”

Husband And Wife Sing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' Duet

Let your spirits be lifted as you listen to this husband and wife sing a duet of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow.’ This special song was made famous by Judy Garland in the 1939 film ‘Wizard Of Oz.’ Since that time, this tune has been covered by countless artists and cemented its place in history as one of the best, and most beautiful, songs of all time. “Somewhere over the rainbow way up high There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true” Today, talented husband and wife duo The Hound + The Fox are performing this iconic song. For years, Reilly and McKenzie Zamber have shared their vocal talent with the world through stunning covers and inspiring original songs. Today, they’re aiming to spread hope with the uplifting words of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow.’ The caption of the video reads, “We needed these hopeful lyrics and this sweet melody during these tough times. We hope that our version of 'Over the Rainbow" brings you some comfort and peace as well.” “Someday I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far Behind me Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me” As our world walks through difficult times, it’s more important than ever to have hope and faith in the Lord. He will guide us through the dark days and lead us into the light.

Kind Stranger Drives Around To Surprise Cashiers With Huge Tips

In this heartwarming video, a kind stranger drives around to different drive-thru restaurants and surprises cashiers with huge tips. “Do you guys do tips?” the young man asks a barista after putting in his order. “Yeah, we do,” she says with a smile. “Ok, sweet,” he says as he hands her his credit card. “How much do you want to do?” she asks him. When he says, “I’ll do $200” the barista is shocked! She walks away in disbelief and is trying not to cry. “Thank you so much,” she says, full of so much gratitude. “People aren’t doing good in life so they’re having a bad mood or whatever. And the you come rolling through like ‘You guys want to have a good day? Here you go!’ Thank you!” This interaction wasn’t the only drive-thru experience that ended in a big tip from this kind stranger! He left a $40 tip for one cashier after finding out that she was a student who had a 4.0 GPA. He also gave a tip of $100 to someone after picking up a takeout order. “That’s a lot of money! Thank you!” said the server in complete disbelief after receiving such a big tip. During another drive-thru interaction, the guy asked if the cashiers split the tips. When he found out that they did, he tipped them $200. The co-workers congregated at the drive-thru window to thank the man, and even one of the employees was getting emotional. “I’m gonna cry!” she exclaimed. What a heartwarming thing to see! During a time when many people are struggling financially and stressing over how they are going to pay the bills, it is so wonderful to see someone blessing others with the kindness from his heart. We hope that this was able to bring you hope and uplift your spirits, as well as encourage you to find a way to bless someone else today!

Southern Raised Bluegrass Band Performs 'Dueling Banjos'

Check out the Southern Raised bluegrass band as they perform a fun rendition of ‘Dueling Banjos.’ On stage, there is a banjo and guitar player and they are going back and forth with the guitar copying what the banjo is playing. Towards the end of the song, the other musicians on stage join in, and it is so fun to listen to them all pluck their instruments together. They are all so talented! “This brought the biggest smile to my face!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Love you guys!” “Absolutely bonkers!” writes another person online. “You have so much talent, that was awesome.” According to their YouTube page, Southern Raised is a group of “award-winning kinfolk, trained in classical music but raised in the bluegrass-soaked Ozark Mountains. They have created a Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads.” Their music has a progressive sound that spans across all different types of genres including Christian Country/Bluegrass, Celtic, and Classical. The band members include Lindsay, Emily, Matthew, and Alex. Together, the members of Southern Raised are “committed to the Lord, each other, and bringing their music to the people.” What a talented group of musicians who have a heart for the Lord. Now that’s a wonderful thing to see! Psalm 98:1-7 1 Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 2 The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. 3 He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King. 7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
