Your Nightly Prayer

We feel constant pressure to function to meet expectations. And yet, Jesus’ invitation speaks directly to our hearts - to our souls crowded by weariness.

Today, you and I will continue to grow in many ways—physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. But what matters most is that we stay planted in the house of the Lord.

Home is the place where we’re most known. And sometimes, if we’re honest, our home has a unique way of bringing out the best and the hardest parts of who we are.

The same Lord who encouraged Israel not to fear is the same One who walks with us today.

As followers of Jesus, the shepherd is with you. There is nothing you lack. You have everything you need.

Father, I want to learn to receive the season I am in with humility, knowing you have permitted and possibly prescribed this time for my growth.

When darkness is so thick we cannot even see one step in front of us, God’s Word is powerful enough to saturate the path with light and reveal which way to go.

The beautiful thing about the Gospel is that it frees us from striving to find meaning or validation.

We can look for and find God’s presence, regardless of the relief we find. Because even in dim seasons, we’re not left in the dark.

In carrying our quiet and secret griefs, we can find comfort in the presence of the Savior who holds every tear and will one day wipe them all away.

Arguments or disagreements can easily color how we view the person with whom we are in conflict.

God is already the source of all good things. Making him the center of our lives only aligns us with truth and reality.

Our faithfulness in carrying out the everyday, ordinary work each day honors and glorifies God, giving it a rich, eternal meaning and purpose beyond merely accomplishing a daily task.

If you’re disappointed in God, friend, don’t allow masked pride to deceive you into thinking God is to blame.

Our job isn’t to fake our emotions or display the life of a perfect Christian. Our goal is to point others to Jesus amidst our greatest trials.
