Praise and Worship Music will be provided by Gia Lucid, an accomplished and acclaimed member of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Worship Team.
For New Jersey native Gia Lucid, leading worship and writing music is much more than a mere occupation. It’s a privilege and a calling. As a worship leader, Lucid aims to serve as a guide, leading people into a state of worshipping God rather than putting on a performance. She confesses that often times as she witnesses the congregation entering into worship, they in turn lead her in worship. “Corporate worship is almost like a taste of heaven. Gathering with the saints all singing in unity is a preview of what we’ll be doing before the throne for eternity,” she said.
After mastering three self-taught chords at the innocent age of 12, Lucid began leading worship for her school chapels. Soon after, she moved onto children’s ministry followed by youth ministry and then adult worship at her home church, Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. Now in her 30s, Lucid resides in Upland, California, and travels frequently, leading worship for church services, retreats, conferences and anywhere else the Lord leads. She has also been on staff at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills as their vocal director and one of their worship leaders since 2008.
Gia has written several songs and currently has two full-length albums, Speechless and Rooftops LIVE. She also has an EP entitled Remind Me which she produced with Danny Donnelly While many of her original songs deal with very personal subjects, she knows each song has been given to her for a reason and hopes people find her music relatable. “We’re all on a journey and we all hit bumps in the road. Many of the songs I’ve written were inspired by those bumps and how they’ve tripped me and how He’s been faithful to pick me up. If one of my songs encourages only one person to keep running the race, it’s enough. If one song draws one life closer to the Lord, it’s enough,” she said. For Lucid, being involved in music is not about fame but about serving the Lord and being willing to go wherever He leads encouraging and admonishing others in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with grace in her heart to the Lord.
Let K-Praise put you first!. We can't wait to welcome you to our Pastors Appreciation Breakfast, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
