Pastor Shawn Mitchell

Shawn Mitchell is a Pro-Sports Chaplain (longest tenured in the NFL) and the Senior and Founding Pastor of New Venture Christian Fellowship in Oceanside, California near San Diego. For over three decades, his enthusiastic, uplifting speaking style has impacted millions around the world, sharing in Christian and secular arenas, “how to find Christ and live life to its fullest.”

His formal training includes a BA in Theology-Philosophy from Point Loma Christian College; graduate studies at Bethel Seminary and Azusa Pacific University; with studies at the Institute of the Holy Land in Jerusalem, Israel and the Goethe Institute in Germany. In addition, he was awarded collegiate honors in public speaking and served as an instructor in speech communication & debate.Shawn, his wife Laurie, and their son Shawn Jr., reside in Oceanside, California.
